How to Reserve a Kitten

We’re so glad you’re interested in adding one of our precious kittens to your family! Reserving a kitten from our cattery is a simple and thoughtful process designed to ensure the best fit for both our kittens and their future homes.

Step 1: Join Our Waitlist

To join our waitlist, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit secures your place in line and goes toward the final price of your kitten. If you're interested in being added to the waitlist, please email us at northernlightsragdolls@yahoo.com for more information.

Before joining, we do conduct a brief interview process to help ensure that a Ragdoll kitten is the right match for you and your household. Our priority is placing each kitten in a loving, responsible, and well-prepared home.

Not ready to reserve yet? That’s totally fine — I’m always happy to chat about kittens, Ragdoll care, and upcoming litters, even if you’re not on the waitlist or ready to commit. Feel free to reach out anytime!

Step 2: Stay in Touch

Once kittens are born, we’ll keep you updated with photos, developmental milestones, and availability. We’re happy to answer any questions and support you throughout the process.

Step 3: Choose Your Kitten

At around 4 weeks of age, kittens begin to show their unique personalities and characteristics. Based on your spot on the waitlist and your preferences, you’ll be invited to select from the available kittens.

Step 4: Place a Reservation

Once you’ve chosen your kitten, we may request an additional reservation deposit to hold your kitten until they’re ready to go home. This amount also goes toward the final purchase price.

Step 5: Preparing for Pickup

Kittens go to their new homes around 12–14 weeks of age, after receiving their vaccinations, a full vet check, and proper socialization. We’ll help guide you on what to expect and how to welcome your new kitten home.
